Pilgrim's Path
This is the most famous trek in the area and one of the most spectacular in Liguria. The trail begins above Noli and follows the promontory of Capo Noli to Varigotti. The route passes through Mediterranean scrub, ancient watchtowers, and breathtaking panoramic views of the Ligurian Sea. Along the way, you'll encounter iconic sites such as the Witches' Tower and the Forgers' Cave. Hiking route: appropriate footwear and weather conditions are recommended.
Monte Ursino Castle
From the historic center, you can walk up to Monte Ursino Castle, one of Noli's most evocative panoramic walks.
The route crosses the hillside above the village and leads to a medieval fortification overlooking the bay, the historic center, and the coast towards Capo Noli and Varigotti.
It is a recommended walk during the cooler hours, in the morning or towards sunset.
The Captain's Hermitage
The Hermitage of Captain d'Albertis is one of the most curious sites on Cape Noli. Built in the early 20th century by the navigator and explorer Enrico d'Albertis, it enjoys a spectacular seafront location. The building is privately owned and cannot be considered a visitable structure; however, it remains a historical and scenic landmark of the promontory.
Cave of the Forgers
Located along the trails of Capo Noli, the Grotta dei Falsari (Forgers' Cave) is one of the most fascinating places in the area. The cave overlooks the sea from a spectacular position. Its name is linked to local tales and legends that have contributed to the place's charm.
The Manie Plateau
The Manie plateau lies above Varigotti and Finale Ligure and is one of the wildest places on the Riviera. A network of trails winds through woods, meadows, and sea views. It's a popular area for long hikes and nature trails.
Scenic trails through olive groves above Noli
Behind the medieval village, numerous smaller trails wind through olive groves and Mediterranean scrub. These walks allow you to discover the Ligurian countryside and enjoy beautiful views of the sea and the medieval towers of Noli.
The Sea
The Bay of Noli is famous for its crystal-clear water and seabed. On calm days, you can swim along the shore, admiring rocks, sandy bottoms, and small fish. The sea is often very clear, allowing you to see the seabed even at depths of several meters.
Snorkeling at Capo Noli
The cliffs of Capo Noli offer some of the most interesting seabeds on the Riviera di Ponente for snorkeling. The water is often very clear, and the rocky seabed is home to sea urchins, small schools of fish, starfish, and meadows of Posidonia oceanica. Swimming along the cliffs, you can observe small submerged caves and rocky walls teeming with marine life. Sea conditions should always be assessed before entering the water.
Sunrise or sunset on the sea

Kayaking along the coast and towards Bergeggi Island
On suitable days, kayaking allows you to see Capo Noli and the coast from a different perspective. Longer excursions towards Bergeggi require experience, suitable weather and sea conditions, and compliance with the regulations of the Marine Protected Area. The Bay of Noli is ideal for exploring the sea in a simple and relaxing way by pedal boat or stand-up paddleboard. Starting from the beach, you can cruise along the coast, observing the medieval village from the sea, and reaching stretches of particularly clear water at the foot of the Capo Noli cliffs. On days with favorable conditions, SUPs and pedal boats allow you to admire the village and the coast directly from the sea.
